What is Animal Communication?

Have you ever had an intuitive knowing about what your pet was thinking or feeling? That’s animal communication!

We’re all born with an innate ability to communicate with other beings without using words, but as we get older we tend to quiet other voices and exist mostly in our heads.

Animal communication is the art and practice of using our innate ability to have meaningful dialogue with our animal friends.

What is a conversation like?

Animal communication is much like a conversation with another person… except that it doesn’t necessarily use words, and you don’t need to be in the same physical space.

When speaking with an animal, ideas are communicated through feelings (both physical and emotional), mental impressions, thoughts, and intuition.

As you can imagine, it can be difficult to separate your own thoughts and feelings from messages sent by an animal, and for that reason one of the best things you can do to encourage your own communication ability is to learn to quiet your mind, and open your heart.

How can animal communication help me?

Having a conversation with your animal friends, whether on your own or with the help of a professional animal communicator, can be a life-changing experience.

I’ve spoken with many different species for many different reasons: a horse that hesitated on jumps, a dog who was coughing, a cat who seemed angry, a rabbit who was sad…

Understanding what your animal is thinking and feeling, and helping your animal understand why you behave the way you do, can lead to a much happier, deeper relationship.

How can I learn to communicate with animals?

There are many excellent books about animal communication. I’d suggest heading to your local bookstore and looking through several to find the one that best resonates with you. What I like may not be what you like!

You can also find a class, either in person or online, to learn the basics.
